Connecting to Lakota Lands: ILI Cultural Intensive #3 for Year 5

For the third and final Intercultural Leadership Institute (ILI) Year 5 Fellowship Cultural Intensive, almost 60 ILI Year 5 fellows, partners, guests and team gathered on Lakota Land, for more learning and togetherness and now centered in Lakota pedagogies and experiences. Hosted by First Peoples Fund in Rapid City and Kyle, SD, the 5+ day experience engaged local and area cultural bearers and creatives to share their wisdom and vision, included site visits to sacred and significant land, created a container for collective processing and reflection, and wove Lakota arts and culture – past and present – throughout the gathering.
