Arturo Méndez is an arts producer, curator, musician, and community organizer, advancing cultural equity in San Francisco for the last 8 years, where he has started community projects including Arts.Co.Lab, La Diáspora Festival, and Urban Prophets Illustrated where he serves as Executive Director/Lead Producer.
His work seeks to promote cultural equity by promoting institutional policies and practices that center the voices of people from under-resourced communities.
Recipient of fellowships with the Emerging Arts Professionals ‘19, the Intercultural Leadership Institute ‘22, NALAC’s Leadership Institute ‘21, Advocacy Leadership Institute ‘20, and Seeding Reciprocity Fellowships with the SFAC ‘20.
