Israel Carranza is a Mexican American artist based in Lincoln, Nebraska. His art is heavily influenced by his roots in Mexican culture and his deep appreciation for the country’s rich artistic traditions. Carranza specializes in abstract expressionistic paintings that draw inspiration from indigenous Mexican art. His paintings are also deeply personal, reflecting his own experiences as a Mexican-American artist living in the United States. He is currently entering the artistic realm of screen printing and providing screen printing classes through Proyecto Cultural. In addition to his artwork, Carranza is also heavily involved in the cultural events of Lincoln.
