Kayla Aubid

Kayla Aubid is educator and arts administrator concentrating on contemporary Indigenous art, culture, and community agency. After graduating from St. Cloud State University in 2013, she worked with the Minnesota Historical Society, Denver Art Museum, Center for American Indian Research and Native Studies, and US DOI: Indian Arts and Crafts Board. As a citizen of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, she is motivated to operate as a capacity builder for systems where Indigenous communities can enhance their own arts and culture systems. Aubid currently works with the MacRostie Art Center, and serves as a municipal Arts and Culture Commissioner.
