NAHSHON DION is an African American Bronx-based Louisiana Creole award-winning creative nonfiction writer, teaching artist, video editor, emerging documentary filmmaker, producer, grants panelist, community organizer, fundraiser, disability advocate, and arts patron from Altadena, CA. She’s been an entertainment professional for thirty years behind the scenes and in front of the lens as a SAG-AFTRA actor. She’s received dozens of grants including a New York State Council on the Arts Individual Artist grant, fellowships, artist residencies, honors, and nationwide awards supporting the development of her forthcoming untitled memoir. As an arts advocate and grant writer, Nahshon Dion has assisted dozens of artists, entrepreneurs, and crime victims nationwide with acquiring grants, funding, and vital resources.
