Racquel Banaszak is a citizen of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe. She is an artist and indigenous education advocate. She enjoys studying Anishinaabemowin, beadworking, and illustration. Her work focuses on Indigenous histories and contemporary representation. She advocated for Indigenous students through Indian Education programming including advancing American Indian curriculum for all and educational equity. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Visualization from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She studied Aboriginal Visual Culture at the Ontario College of Art & Design. She earned a graduate certificate in Native American Studies from Montana State University.
