Rani Pramesti is a proud Peranakan Hokkien / Javanese person loving, learning and working across Kulin Country (Melbourne), Jakarta (Indonesia) and Ohlone Country (San Francisco).

Rani designs and deliver programs and services that grow the next generation of creative visionaries, thinkers and makers.

Rani is the the creative strategist of Creatives of Colour: a research-driven collective of First Nations, Black-identifying and People of Colour creatives and researchers, based on Kulin Country (Melbourne). 

In addition, Rani is also the Program Producer (Strategic Visioning & VIPI) at the national performing arts peak body for independent performing artists and small-to-medium performing arts organizations, Theatre Network Australia. 

As a storyteller, Rani leads culturally diverse teams across Indonesia, Australia and Ohlone Country (San Francisco) to create transformative experiences at the intersection of storytelling and technology. For example, TheChineseWhispers.com is a digital, bilingual graphic novel that recounts the racial and sexual violence that Chinese-Indonesian people experienced during the May 1998 revolution in Indonesia.
