Angie Durrell

Angie has led a privileged career of music education and community engagement. An accomplished violinist and social entrepreneur, upon graduating with a full scholarship from the University of Connecticut, Angie has gone on to perform with Grammy award-winning composer Gabriela Lena Frank and the National Symphony of Ecuador. She has studied under MacArthur Fellow Aaron Dworkin since 2007 and has extensive experience with music from Latin America. She founded and leads the INTAKE Music organization since 2011. Durrell’s recent accolades include an invitation to perform for Pope Francis in 2015 and being named an Artist Ambassador for Spread Music Now.
