Ua Si Creative

Ka Oskar Ly is a queer Hmong American immigrant artist and cultural producer rooted in social change and community futures. Although the Hmong language has no word for “art” or “queer,” Ka wills them into undeniable existence through cultural installations and experiences, creating many firsts in their communities. They have worked at the intersection of art, organizing, and politics spanning across various social movements to produce platforms for their communities to thrive. Ly founded ArtCrop, a cultural research and residency project combining community-supported art and farming that has since evolved into Ua Si Creative, an artist collective that invites more meaningful community engagement through art and culture across BIPOC communities.
