Suzy González obtained her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and her BFA from Texas State University. She’s attended residencies at Vermont Studio Center, Trelex Residency in Peru, and Studios at MASS MoCA. She’s based in San Antonio, but exhibits her work nationally. She’s half of the collective Dos Mestizx and half of Yes, Ma’am zine. She organized the Nasty Women Exhibit San Antonio, co-founded the San Antonio Zine Fest, and is currently part of organizing the Latino Comics Expo Brownsville. She received a NALAC Fund for the Arts Grant collaboratively with Luz Calvo and Catriona Rueda Esquibel.
