After nearly 6 months of virtual intercultural exploration, the ILI Year 4 Fellows and FamILI finally got to come together for the first of two in-person weekend intensives. Hosted by ILI partner Alternate ROOTS, this in-person learning and community experience was held at Franklinton Center at Bricks in Whitakers, North Carolina (Lumbee, Skaruhreh/Tuscarora, and Saponi Territories). Here’s a look at a weekend that included ceremony, food, conversation, field trips and the opportunity to connect one-on-one for a deeper intercultural understanding.
